The Board of Directors of Johnson & Bell, Ltd. is pleased to announce the election of new shareholders for 2026, along with changes to firm leadership. The firm’s shareholders met last week and voted to elect associates Michael J. Bolde and Lisa M. McElroy as Tier II Shareholders.
Michael Bolde joined Johnson & Bell as an associate in our Northern Indiana office in 2022. He had previously been as associate with the firm from 2016 to 2018. Michael concentrates his practice on health care law and medical malpractice litigation disputes involving claims of personal injury and wrongful death. An experienced trial attorney, he was selected an Indiana Super Lawyers “Rising Star” from 2016 to 2022 and was recognized by the Times of Northwest Indiana, receiving its 20 Under 40 award as an up-and-coming professional. Michael earned a B.S. degree with highest distinction from Purdue University Calumet, and a J.D., summa cum laude, from Valparaiso University School of Law.
Lisa McElroy joined Johnson & Bell as a legal assistant in 2009. After graduating with a J.D. from UIC John Marshall Law School in 2018 she was promoted to associate. Lisa focuses her practice on municipal liability, insurance defense, and governmental tort liability. Her clients include municipalities, law enforcement officers, and security personnel. She earned a B.B.A. degree from Santa Fe University and a certificate in Civil Litigation from Loyola University Chicago.
The shareholders also selected Stephen P. Ellenbecker, Christopher J. Carlos, Stacey A. Cischke, and Timothy R. Couture to serve on the Board of Directors for a two-year term.
The firm’s Board of Directors also affirmed Joseph B. Carini III as the firm’s President, and H. Patrick Morris, as Board Chairman, succeeding Robert M. Burke, who is retiring this year after a stellar 37-year career at Johnson & Bell.
