Timothy R. Couture is a veteran litigator, focusing his practice in product liability, construction litigation, premises liability, transportation litigation, and defending public utilities. His cases have involved extensive property damage, serious personal injury, and death. He has also defended clients in a variety of legal contexts including toxic torts, insurance law, and professional liability.
Mr. Couture clients have included public utilities; manufacturers of automobiles, motorcycles, tools, industrial and consumer products; public transportation companies; national retailers; construction companies; landscape architecture firms; and long-haul transportation companies. He has acted as trial counsel in numerous jury trials in Illinois jurisdictions, including Cook, DuPage, McHenry, Kane, Kankakee, Madison, St. Clair, and Will Counties. He has also tried cases in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Couture is licensed to practice in Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
