We opened our doors in 1975 and over the past four-plus decades have grown to a firm of approximately 90 attorneys, backed by a similar sized staff. Our attorneys work in a variety of practice areas and many of them have been with us since the beginning of their careers. Client cases are concentrated mostly in Illinois and northwest Indiana, but we also regularly handle matters throughout the Midwest.

If you like to try cases, Johnson & Bell is a great place to practice. Our trial attorneys typically focus their practice in two or three areas. As a firm, we often are retained by clients to handle their most complex or demanding cases. Our clients ask for and expect a high level of courtroom expertise from a J&B attorney, and we deliver.

Johnson & Bell has openings for the following positions:

Associate Attorney - Chicago and Crown Point Offices: Johnson & Bell seeks attorneys with at least 1-3 years of civil litigation defense experience for openings in their Chicago and Crown Point offices.

We also are seeking an attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience for an opening in our Chicago office.

Candidates must possess excellent research and communication skills, and have a proven aptitude for superior client service. Candidates must be detail oriented, creative thinkers, with excellent writing skills. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
