Joseph B. Carini, III, is a vice president at Johnson & Bell, Ltd., and also serves as the firm's data security officer.  He is co-chair of the Construction group. He concentrates his practice in construction litigation and general negligence. He has extensive experience defending owners, project managers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors in construction litigation involving personal injury accidents and construction defect and design disputes. He also defends contractors and municipalities in litigation involving accidents arising out of highway construction, signage, and signal maintenance.

Mr. Carini serves as an emergency on-site presence for catastrophic accident investigations. He also conducts risk management seminars for managers and workers, addresses insurance coverage issues, and provides contract review services. Mr. Carini is a certified litigation management professional, having completed his certification at the Litigation Management Institute at Columbia Law School in New York. His success as a trial attorney has been recognized by his peers, who have honored him with an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and election to the Chicago Society of Trail Lawyers and American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and as a Leading Lawyer in Illinois.
