A registered nurse, Lynn M. Reid is a litigator with an emphasis on medical and nursing malpractice. Ms. Reid has defended hospitals, nursing homes, physicians and other providers in negligence claims, including this recent case. She has also counseled her health care clients on non-litigation issues relating to policies and procedures, statutory issues, risk management concerns and other non-litigation matters.
She has lectured on numerous healthcare and hospital related legal topics. Her other litigation experience includes insurance bad faith claims, premises and general liability, and business litigation.
Ms. Reid is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel and the Chicago Healthcare Risk Management Society. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Turning Point Behavioral Healthcare Center.
Ms. Reid recently wrote about the newly enacted Authorized Electronic Monitoring in Long-Term Care Facilities Act, which will allow nursing home residents to request video surveillance and audio recording in their rooms.
