Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Sammi L. Renken, has been elected to join The Society of Trial Lawyers. Founded in 1934, The Society of Trial Lawyers is an invitation-only group that includes many of Chicago’s top trial lawyers on both the defense and plaintiffs’ sides. The Society encourages loyalty among lawyers, as well as the highest ethical standards in the trial of cases.
Ms. Renken’s practice has included representation and trials involving malpractice and medical actions, commercial and business disputes, nursing home litigation, drug and medical device lawsuits, Medicare and Medicaid audits, fraud claims and attorney malpractice litigation. She serves on the Board of Directors for Johnson & Bell, Ltd. and is the chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative. In 2016, Ms. Renken was honored to be elected for membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Illinois Chapter of ABOTA. She was also welcomed into the fellowship of the Trial Lawyer Honorary Society of the Litigation Counsel of America in 2017. Both organizations are by invitation only to litigators with proven results as lead trial counsel.
