Johnson & Bell is pleased to announce that Associate Attorneys, Catherine Breitweiser-Hurst, Ava L. Caffarini, Margaret A. Connery, Scott A. Mueller and Daniel M. Yukich, have been promoted to Shareholder at the firm.

Based in Johnson & Bell’s Indiana office, Catherine Breitweiser-Hurst focuses her practice in product liability, transportation law, and general negligence. She recently helped secure partial summary judgment in a transportation case, halting the plaintiff’s attempt to expand the potential liability of her client. In addition, Ms. Breitweiser-Hurst routinely defends several national retailers and hospitality companies in premises liability disputes.
Ava L. Caffarini focuses her practice in professional negligence, insurance coverage, and business litigation. Licensed in Indiana and Illinois, Ms. Caffarini is experienced in handling a variety of civil defense matters in state and federal court.
Margaret A. Connery concentrates her practice on the defense of hospitals and healthcare professionals against claims of medical malpractice. She practices in both state and federal court, and has represented clients in a wide variety of personal injury insurance defense matters. She has vast experience representing hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other health care professionals in all phases of personal injury litigation, including various appeals.
Also based in our Indiana office, Scott A. Mueller focuses his practice in medical malpractice, long-term care and general liability cases involving personal injury claims. He has worked for medical malpractice insurance companies, where he handled claims, and has also represented medical professionals and hospitals in litigation.
Daniel M. Yukich has a varied and active trial practice at Johnson & Bell. He defends hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, health care institutions, and their professionals in medical malpractice litigation. In addition, he handles construction and transportation claims and litigation, general liability disputes, premises liability issues, asbestos litigation, environmental litigation and complex commercial litigation.
