On June 11th, 2021, Johnson & Bell Vice President, Sammi L. Renken, was installed as the new president of the Illinois Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ISHRM). Ms. Renken joined the firm in 2001, and serves on the Board of Directors, as well as the chair of the firm's Women Initiative. She is an experienced trial lawyer with litigation, advocacy and counseling skills focused in business and healthcare litigation. She recently was recognized as a 2020 Women in Law Inaugural Honoree by the Chicago Lawyer and Chicago Daily Law Bulletin publications. Ms. Renken earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, and her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
