Johnson & Bell Shareholder and well-known lounge act troubadour, Carlos A. Vera, will break out his guitar and play a few blues “licks” to help set the tone at a seminar titled, “Smokey Joe’s ‘Agony of Defeat’ Blues Saloon: Where Olympic-Quality Lawyers Come to Sing the Blues.” The session will address steps attorneys can take to address difficult situations – like getting hit with a malpractice claim – and to prevent professional and personal “burn out.”
The presentation takes place Friday, March 1, 2024, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico at the International Client Seminar hosted by ALFA International. Mr. Vera is serving as a panelist, along with Erik Lindseth, senior vice president and general counsel at Lifetime, Inc., D. Jay Davis, a partner with law firm Clement Rivers, LLP, and Tamara Conn, general counsel at O’Reilly Auto Parts. The session is moderated by Chris Page, a partner with the law firm Young Moore and Henderson, P.A. The seminar will cover real-life scenarios in which an attorney’s life may have spiraled out of control – whether professionally or personally. The session will offer practical advice and strategies for recovery.
