Johnson & Bell Shareholder Kevin G. Owens recently moderated a panel discussion at the 2019 ALFA International Product Liability & Complex Torts Practice Group Seminar. The seminar was attended by ALFA International attorneys from around the globe, as well as representatives of many of the world’s leading product manufacturers. Mr. Owens was joined by senior in-house counsel from three national and multi-national corporations for a series of “Ted Talk” style presentations. The presentations included “The Top Ten Things You Need to Know to Talk to My Business People”, “Things I Wish My Outside Counsel Knew But They Never Ask (The Inner Voices of an In-House Counsel)”, and “Financial Challenges Facing In-House Counsel: What It’s Like to Be Us.” The panelists shared valuable insights on the client perspective on issues equally important to clients and the outside lawyers who represent them in high-stakes litigation.
