Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Monica Burkoth, recently presented a continuing legal education presentation on Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 30(b)(6) depositions to the attorneys at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (CCSAO). Ms. Burkoth’s course walked through the duty of the defending attorney which included designating and educating a witness, strategies to narrow the scope of the notice, as well as appropriate objections to make during the deposition. Ms. Burkoth focuses her practice on municipal liability, class actions, civil rights law and prison litigation. Her clients include municipalities, law enforcement officers, medical professionals and security personnel.
