Product safety in off-road equipment will be the focal point of a conference in April 2018. Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Kevin G. Owens, participated in the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ Product Safety & Compliance – Product Liability conference in Lincolnshire, Illinois, on April 26, 2018. Mr. Owens spoke with six other attorneys during the conference’s Product Liability Seminar, with the presentation, “Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis: Making Your Company Defendable.”
The Product Safety & Compliance conference gives professionals in the off-road equipment industry the ability to learn the building blocks of an effective product safety program. The seminar will include proven industry practices for risk assessment, updates on standards and regulations and best practices shared among industry peers. Attendees will leave with the tools to face current and future challenges.
Kevin G. Owens is a shareholder and co-chair of Johnson & Bell’s Product Liability practice group. His civil litigation practice includes the defense and trial of catastrophic injury, consumer and other product liability actions, construction and general negligence actions, and the litigation of commercial disputes in state and federal courts. His experience also includes litigation of construction product defect actions, and litigation of contract actions at law and equity.
In a career spanning over thirty years, Mr. Owens has successfully tried numerous multi-million dollar cases to verdict. He has also successfully defended numerous manufactures of all manner of heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
