Johnson & Bell recently added two new attorneys to the firm.
Associate Attorney, Kristen N. Kennedy, joins our Health Care practice group and concentrates her practice on defending medical malpractice cases involving hospitals, universities, physicians, nurses, and nursing homes. Before joining Johnson & Bell, Kristen was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, Illinois where she gained extensive experience litigating hundreds of cases to both bench and jury verdicts. Kristen graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in Spring 2020 where she was a member of Chicago-Kent's nationally ranked trial advocacy team and the president of the Irish American Law Student Association. She received her undergraduate degree from DePaul University in 2017, where she majored in political science and public relations and marketing.
Associate Attorney, Aleeza F. Mian, focuses her practice on municipal liability. Her clients include municipalities and law enforcement officers. Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Ms. Mian worked at a plaintiff’s law firm for two years. Ms. Mian earned her B.A. from Iowa State University in 2019, and her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2022. Ms. Mian was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2022. Additionally, she is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA). While in law school, Ms. Mian was a Board Member on the Moot Court Honors Council, President of the South Asian Law Student Association, Media Director for Health Law Society, and Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing. Additionally, she also received the award of Top Five Best Respondent’s Brief in the Fred E. Herzog Competition.
