January 17, 2019

Johnson and Bell Attorney, Julie J. Busch, will be speaking at the ALFA International Transportation and Hospitality & Retail Regional Seminar. The seminar takes place on Thursday, Jan. 24 at Hall & Evans, LLC in Denver, Colorado. Ms. Busch will be kicking off the seminar with the presentation, “Technology That is Literally on (and Sometimes in) Hand and Its Use in Litigation.”

In this interactive seminar, Ms. Busch will discuss some of the current technology trends in the transportation and hospitality industries.  She also will provide real world suggestions for being prepared for and adept at harnessing the power of information and using it to your advantage in litigation. In a wired world and with incredibly powerful technology often residing in smartphones and other mobile devices, access to personal information about our everyday lives continues to grow. What that means in terms of discoverable information in litigation may surprise you.

Ms. Busch concentrates her practice in general negligence, as well as transportation and retail litigation. She has assisted with all aspects of litigation, mediation, settlement, and jury trials for large, complex disputes in transportation litigation, complex brain injury, and retail litigation. She is a frequent presenter at local and regional conferences.  In tandem with other Johnson & Bell attorneys, she has discussed a range of topics, including using the Affordable Care Act to mitigate future medical claims, responding to catastrophic vehicle accidents, and accident reconstruction technologies and their effectiveness at trial.
