Johnson & Bell Welcomes Four New Attorneys

Four Associate Attorneys have joined Johnson & Bell.

Michael J. Bolde rejoins our Crown Point, Indiana office.  He concentrates his practice on health care law and medical malpractice litigation disputes involving claims of personal injury and wrongful death. An experienced trial attorney, Mr. Bolde has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2016 and was recognized by the Times of Northwest Indiana, receiving its 20 Under 40 award as an up-and-coming professional. 

In our Chicago office:

Drake Edward concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice litigation, hospital liability defense, and long-term care litigation.  He represents hospitals, universities, physicians, nurses, and nursing homes in a wide variety of medical actions, including disputes related to the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act. Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Drake worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable Daniel J. Kubasiak on the commercial calendar in the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Timothy E. Hameetman concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice litigation, hospital liability, long-term care litigation and general liability defense. He represents a range of clients from small business owners, nursing homes and hospitals to large municipalities.  Mr. Hameetman received a dual-undergraduate degree in legal studies and political science from the University of Illinois’s Springfield campus, as well as a master’s degree in Political Science. During this time, Mr. Hameetman gained experience in the distinguished GPSI program, helping to amend the Illinois Nursing Home Care Act on behalf of the Illinois Department on Aging.

Benjamin J. Kemp concentrates his practice on construction, products liability, premises liability, and insurance litigation. Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Mr. Kemp served as a law clerk to the honorable Sharon Soorholtz-Greer of the Iowa Court of Appeals. During his clerkship, Mr. Kemp assisted in drafting opinions reviewing criminal convictions ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. In addition, he worked on a wide array of civil appeals involving contractual disputes, evidentiary disputes, admissibility of expert testimony, personal injury, trust agreements, child custody, marriage dissolutions, and petitions for postconviction relief.
