Shareholder Garrett Boehm recently secured an appellate victory for our client, NorthShore University HealthSystem in front of Illinois' First District Appellate Court.
The matter, centering around the disputed use of MRI video as a demonstrative aid, was raised after Johnson & Bell attorneys Stacey Cischke and Margaret Connery successfully represented the company at trial.
On appeal, attorneys for the plaintiff argued that a decision by the trial court to allow the use of MRI video in the original trial should be reversed, and separately, that the jury verdict was "against the manifest weight of the evidence." Garrett was able to successfully defend both the trial court's decision regarding the MRI footage, and the verdict as a whole.
