Timothy R. Couture is a veteran litigator, focusing his practice in product liability, construction litigation, premises liability, transportation litigation, and defending public utilities. His cases have involved extensive property damage, serious personal injury, and death. He has also defended clients in a variety of legal contexts including toxic torts, insurance law, and professional liability.
Mr. Couture has represented utilities, electronics manufacturers, public transportation companies, national retailers, landscape architecture firms, food companies, and long-haul transportation companies in a variety of matters and venues. He has acted as trial counsel in numerous jury trials in jurisdictions in Illinois, including Cook, DuPage, McHenry, Kane, Kankakee, Madison, St. Clair, and Will Counties. He has also tried cases in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
Mr. Couture is licensed to practice in Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
