Sharon L. Stanzione focuses exclusively on medical malpractice litigation, representing hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians, nurses and other health care organizations and professionals. For 25 years, Ms. Stanzione has successfully navigated Indiana’s medical review panel system receiving favorable results at the panel stage and at trial. She has also helped shape Indiana medical malpractice law through her arguments to the Indiana Supreme Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals.
In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Stanzione regularly consults with hospitals and health care facilities on risk management issues, corporate matters, and professional licensing issues. She has created and revised numerous hospital policies, protocols and procedures. Ms. Stanzione gives regular presentations to her health care clients on emerging issues involving risk management, health care law and trends in medical malpractice litigation. She also has helped physicians establish their practices and handled their OSHA compliance and other personnel issues.
Ms. Stanzione is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society of trial lawyers. She has been recognized by her peers with an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America every year since 2020. She also is a member of the firm's Board of Directors.
