Marc R. Daou is an associate in the Medical Negligence, Healthcare, and General Negligence practice groups and concentrates his work on representing healthcare providers in healthcare malpractice actions. Marc also represents corporate clients in general negligence and premises liability tort actions.
Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Marc gained experience in both the legal and medical fields through various professional experiences. Most recently, Marc worked as a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division, Commercial Calendar Section. During law school, Marc completed two judicial externships: one judicial externship in the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois; and another judicial externship in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division, Commercial Calendar Section. Additionally, Marc worked as a graduate research assistant in law school where he assisted a law professor with the publication of a law review article on stock-drop litigation. Prior to law school, Marc worked as a medical research assistant at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery where Marc contributed to the publication of thirteen peer-reviewed neurosurgical publications.
Marc earned his B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law with cum laude honors. At U.I.C. Law, Marc served as a Lead Articles Editor for The U.I.C. Law Review. Marc also earned accolades for his performance in an intra-scholastic moot court competition, including earning the second-highest appellate brief score out of over 150 competitors.
