Jason A. Sanders is an associate and concentrates his client work on general litigation, including premises liability, trucking, transportation law, and construction negligence.
Mr. Sanders earned a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Medicine from The University of Dayton, with minors in Biology and Chemistry, and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the DePaul Law Review, Case Notes and Comments Editor for the DePaul Journal of Art, Technology, & Intellectual Property, Vice President of The Federalist Society, and a Teaching Assistant for Patent Law and the DePaul Academic Success Program. He is the recipient of the 2019 Scandaglia & Ryan Intellectual Property Legal Writing Award and earned a CALI in Legal Analysis Research and Communication III.
Mr. Sanders also enjoys legal writing and has several published articles, including § 101 Patent Eligibility: Advocation of the Supreme Court Proffering a Bright-line Rule, 31 Tex. Intell. Prop. L.J. 37 (2022) and Ex Ante Intellectual Property Considerations for Small Businesses, 31 DePaul J. Art, Tech. & IP Law 101 (2021).
Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Mr. Sanders worked as an associate attorney for a personal injury firm in Chicago, focusing on auto and trucking accidents, premises liability, medical negligence, and construction negligence litigation.
