Jacob Kokoris is an associate in the General Negligence practice group and concentrates his client work on premises liability matters and personal injury cases. Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Mr. Kokoris was a law clerk for Johnson & Bell throughout law school. Before law school, he worked for a national legal search firm, which provided valuable insights into the business aspects of the legal profession, and was also a tennis coach for a Chicago-area high school.
Mr. Kokoris earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with honors and high departmental distinction for defense of his senior honors thesis. At Illinois he was also an active member of the university's club tennis team and a member of its classical guitar ensemble. Mr. Kokoris earned the Howard Crombie Award for excellence in the undergraduate study of philosophy.
Mr. Kokoris earned J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2025, where he earned CALI awards for the highest grades in Advanced Legal Research and a Law & Social Psychology seminar. During law school, he also served on the Maurer Law School Advancement Committee, which raises funds for essential student activities. Mr. Kokoris participated in the Sherman-Minton Moot Court competition, where he earned “octo-finalist” recognition in his second year. In his third year, Mr. Kokoris served on the Moot Court Competition Board, where he assisted in grading moot court briefs prepared by second-year students.
