Jack A. Gainer is an associate in the Municipal Liability practice group and concentrates his client work on municipal and governmental tort liability, premises liability, product liability, trucking and transportation law, construction law, and toxic torts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gainer clerked under ILSCR §711, for the Gun Crime Strategies Unit of the Special Prosecutions Bureau for the Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney. After his admission to the Illinois Bar, Mr. Gainer served as an Assistant State’s Attorney assigned to the First Municipal Division of the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau for the Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney. Mr. Gainer later expanded his practice areas into commercial real estate transactions, commercial litigation, construction litigation, contract law and commercial landlord-tenant litigation.
Mr. Gainer earned a B.A. in Fine Arts and Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Journalism from Quincy University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Saint Xavier University. He received his J.D. from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
