Hilary L. Jabs focuses her practice on construction litigation and general negligence. She defends owners, project managers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors in construction litigation involving personal injury accidents as well as construction defect and design disputes. Ms. Jabs also represents contractors and municipalities in litigation involving accidents arising out of highway construction, signage, and signal maintenance.
Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Ms. Jabs served as an associate for a defense litigation firm representing the City of Chicago in seven-figure lawsuits and handling cases for private clients involving catastrophic loss, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and general negligence.
Ms. Jabs earned her J.D. from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College and her bachelor’s degree in sociology and writing from Ithaca College with honors. During law school, she externed at a criminal defense law firm representing juveniles and adults in high-profile criminal cases.
