John P. Sheridan

John "J.P." Sheridan is an associate in Johnson & Bell's Municipal Liability Practice Group, concentrating his practice on municipal and governmental tort liability litigation.

Mr. Sheridan was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November 2025, and arrived at Johnson & Bell with more than a year of experience and success at a Chicago plaintiff's litigation boutique.

Before his admittance to the bar, Mr. Sheridan earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Illinois and later graduated in the top  third of his class at Chicago-Kent College of Law.

While at Chicago-Kent, he earned multiple Dean's Honor List selections, worked as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judge Ronald F. Bartowicz [Circuit Court, Cook County, Law Division], and gained experience in several clerkship roles.
