James Balog and Ariel Flood Win Motion for Summary Judgment for National Retailer

J&B shareholders James Balog and Ariel Flood, assisted by associates Brandon Grant and Natalya Miralaeff, secured a recent win in the US District Court of Northern Illinois when representing a national retailer in a premises liability case. The plaintiff alleged that water on the floor of a Chicago-area store caused her to slip and fall. The Johnson & Bell team argued that the plaintiff failed to prove any water was present or that store personnel had any knowledge of water on the floor prior to her fall. Judge Virginia Kendall granted a Motion for Summary Judgment in favor of our client in early June 2025.
