Johnson & Bell is pleased to welcome four Associate Attorneys to the firm: Connor W. Bender, Brandon A. Grant, Elizabeth M. Lehmann and Eric T. Schneider.
Connor W. Bender is an associate in the Health Care practice group and concentrates his practice on medical malpractice, health care liability, and premises liability litigation. Mr. Bender received his B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. During law school, Mr. Bender was a member of the DePaul Appellate Moot Court Society and participated in the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition at Elon University. Mr. Bender also gained experience as a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County and a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.
Brandon A. Grant concentrates his practice on health care disputes, defending medical malpractice cases involving hospitals, universities, physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. He graduated from DePaul College of Law in 2023. While in law school Mr. Grant served as Business Manager for the DePaul Business and Commercial Law Journal and wrote an article for the DePaul Sports Law Journal. Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, he was a law clerk at a Plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020.
Elizabeth M. Lehmann focuses her practice on general litigation representing large retail clients in cases involving premises liability and product liability. She has experience in all stages of litigation including arbitrations, settlements, and mediations. Ms. Lehmann received her B.S. in Sociology with a minor in Forensics and Latin from Purdue University in 2015 and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law with a Business and Compliance Certificate in 2021. While she was a student at Chicago-Kent, Ms. Lehmann served as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was the Justice of Phi Alpha Delta-Blackstone Chapter.
Eric T. Schneider concentrates his practice on trucking and transportation law. He previously worked for another local defense law firm where he handled workers' compensation matters. Mr. Schneider graduated from UIC John Marshall Law School where he was a Teacher’s Assistant for Professor Rogelio Lasso and was a member of the ADR Trial Team Spring 2021, Trial Team Fall 2019 and 1L 2018 Mock Trial. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Stonehill College in 2016. During law school, Mr. Schneider gained experience as a law clerk with the Cook County Public Defender's Office and as a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Criminal Division for Judge Peggy Chiampas
