Adnan Shafi concentrates his practice in municipal liability matters, representing municipalities and law enforcement officers. His legal career includes notable experience as an Assistant State's Attorney with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office prior to joining Johnson & Bell. Within the State's Attorney's Office, Mr. Shafi held a role as a prosecutor within the Juvenile Justice Bureau's Delinquency Division among other Divisions, where he effectively litigated multiple felony trials.
Adnan earned his Juris Doctor degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2019. While pursuing his legal studies, he contributed as a member of the distinguished Chicago-Kent trial team, actively engaging in mock trial competitions. Furthermore, he held the position of secretary within the Student Bar Association. In 2016, he accomplished his Masters in Intellectual Property Law at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Before relocating to the United States, Adnan graduated with Bachelor of Laws from Amity University in 2015. He built a foundation in law by practicing as a criminal defense attorney in India. During his time in law school in India, he gained experience through a clerkship at a law firm, notably contributing to the well-known Arushi Murder Case. This high-profile case was later adapted into a Bollywood film titled "Talvar," available on Netflix. His legal practice is acknowledged in both Illinois and India. Adnan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Amity University in 2012.
Beyond his legal pursuits, Adnan nurtures a passion for sports. He actively participates in weekly soccer games, relishes bike rides, go-karting, golfing, and workout sessions.
