Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Edward W. Hearn, wasted little time putting his new Michigan Bar membership to good use. Mr. Hearn successfully secured a temporary restraining order (TRO) on behalf of a Johnson & Bell client in a contract dispute taking place in Michigan. The dispute involves a disagreement as to contract amounts owed and the defendant sought to sell certain property at a public auction. The TRO stopped the auction the day it was to take place. Johnson & Bell's client is a manufacturer of products used in the transportation industry. Hearn expects that most of his Michigan work will focus on representing clients in the southwestern region of the state. “Our Indiana office is located close to the Michigan border,” explained Hearn. “We have a number of Indiana clients with interests in Michigan and it will be great to represent them as the need arises.”
