On June 10th, 2021, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for Healthcare facilities and updated guidance for all workplaces. The ETS revolves around the necessity that employers help protect healthcare workers in settings where suspected or confirmed coronavirus patients are treated. This ETS for Healthcare facilities is the proposed final rule. OSHA also issued updated guidance for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in all workplaces. Most, if not all, of these standards and guidelines have been published and revised over the course of the past 15 months and should come as no surprise to most organizations. If you have any questions on how this might affect your workplace, please contact Johnson & Bell Shareholders, Genevieve M. LeFevour, Christopher J. Carlos or Brian C. Langs.
