2019 Emerging Lawyers

Leading Lawyers, a division of Law Bulletin Publishing Company, surveys lawyers on which of their peers or competitors they would recommend to a family member or friend if they could not take a case within their area of law or geographic region. The lawyers who are most often recommended and approved by Leading Lawyers’ advisory board are chosen as Leading Lawyers. The group limits the total number of Leading Lawyers in a given state to less than five percent of all lawyers licensed to practice law in that state.
Emerging lawyers are identified by their peers to be among the top lawyers age 40 or under, unless they have practiced for more than 10 years. Less than two percent of all lawyers licensed in each state are distinguished as an Emerging Lawyer. The list of Emerging Lawyers comes from annual surveys from Law Bulletin Publishing Company that are mailed to all Leading Lawyers in a given state. The survey requests that the Leading Lawyers confidentially share the names of lawyers they think have proven themselves ethical, professional and experienced at an early time in their legal career.
