Brian J. McKenna concentrates his practice in commercial and business litigation as well as technology and internet law. During his time at Johnson & Bell, Mr. McKenna has worked on corporate mergers, helped create new corporate entities, and drafted operating and partnership agreements. He also has addressed commercial foreclosures, handled issues for clients before the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, assisted with a FINRA arbitration and helped bring consumer disputes against commercial entities.
Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Mr. McKenna had a successful career in the logistics and transportation sector, rising to become a carrier operations supervisor. He is intimately familiar with all aspects of the transportation and logistics industry, including: DOT compliance; pricing; contracting; load planning; customer bidding; cargo damage claims; rollover/accident claims; fleet management; sales negotiation; seasonal rate variance; lane-rate variance; accessorial agreements; and dispute resolution.
He is a member of the Chicago Zoological Society (CZS) Associates. CZS is a network of young professionals who leverage their professional network to help with fundraising and provide other volunteer services to benefit the Brookfield/Lincoln Park Zoos and their larger conservation efforts. Mr. McKenna earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Marquette University.
