Intellectual property attorneys and business advisors, William L. Niro and Christopher W. Niro, have joined Johnson & Bell, Ltd. as Counsel. They come to the firm from the Niro Law Group, where they were founding partners. The new attorneys will enhance the firm’s intellectual property practice.

William L. Niro brings 40 years of experience working with Fortune 500, mid-size, family owned businesses, start-ups and individuals with their business and intellectual property needs. He has tried cases on behalf of U.S. and international clients in State and Federal courts and Appellate courts throughout the US. He has secured trademark registrations to protect more than 500 brands in the US and in 50 countries throughout the world. His clients include fast food companies, machine tool producers, financial planning services, automobile parts manufacturers, food products, professional sports, authors and entertainment service providers. Mr. Niro has helped clients secure and license patents for food processing methods, children's toys, metal processing systems, and products in a wide spectrum of technologies. He has advocated and litigated patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, non-competition, unfair business practices and a wide range of commercial and real estate matters.
Christopher W. Niro represents individuals and entrepreneurs, as well as mid-size companies and multinationals to address their business and intellectual property challenges and grow their portfolios. He has extensive experience with all aspects of intellectual property litigation in both State and Federal trial and appellate courts. He advises his clients with regards to patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Christopher is the Past-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Illinois State Bar Association, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Bar Foundation and is also member of the Council of the ISBA Committee on Legal Technology. Also, Christopher is completing a three year term as a member of the Leadership Advisory Board and Long Range Planning Board to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
