Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Tammy L. Wade, will be a featured speaker at the American Conference Institute’s 2nd Annual Advanced Forum on Medical Liability Claims, Coverage & Risk Management. The conference offers a faculty of government representatives, medical experts, risk managers, insurance professionals, and leading plaintiff and defense attorneys, who will discuss complex medical issues and litigation hurdles.
Ms. Wade will present the topic, “A to Z of Litigating Your Medical Malpractice Case: An Examination of Each Stage Including Trial Techniques, Lining Up the Right Experts, Using Technology in Trial Presentations, and Beyond” alongside other attorneys from across the country. The presentation will outline ways to investigate facts concerning liability, causation, and damages and how to determine what facts are relevant. Ms. Wade’s presentation will discuss ensuring that your client is prepared for trial; securing the appropriate damages experts; preparing trial briefs and motions in limine related to reliable evidence of damages; and using the Affordable Care Act to mitigate damages for future care costs.
Concentrating her practice on the defense of health care professionals in all phases of medical malpractice litigation, Ms. Wade is recognized by the American Hospital Association as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management. She frequently lectures at professional seminars and conferences focusing on trial issues, healthcare risk management and quality improvement efforts.
