Located in our Crown Point, Indiana office, Susan K. Swing focuses on civil litigation, primarily in the areas of premises liability, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, insurance coverage and toxic tort. Ms. Swing has represented clients in numerous counties throughout the state of Indiana in both federal and state courts, as well as before the Indiana Court of Appeals, Indiana Supreme Court, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Susan is a life-long resident of northwest Indiana, having grown up in Griffith, IN. The youngest of four kids and the only girl, she learned at an early age to be tough and competitive. Her interest in the law developed as she watched movies with her dad, including 12 Angry Men and To Kill a Mockingbird. She likes how the law searches for the truth. Susan also appreciates how her practice involves creativity, including generating case theories and crafting legal arguments. She also enjoys the critical thinking involved in spotting obscure issues and analyzing how a jury might perceive a particular case or witness. Susan is married and has three young children. Her husband Brad is not a lawyer, but loves watching Law & Order. Away from the office, Susan fills her time with family and friends, and devoting attention to caring for her oldest son, who has autism.
