Johnson & Bell Shareholder Joseph F. Spitzzeri will moderate the panel discussion, “Litigating Against the EEOC: Conciliation, Discovery Tactics and Limits,” during the ALFA International 2015 Labor & Employment Practice Group Seminar. He will be joined on the panel by Kim Metrick, Director and Managing Counsel of Employment Law at Walgreen Company, Justin McCarthy, Assistant General Counsel at Dentsply International Inc., and Theresa Smith Lloyd, an attorney at Plunkett Cooney. The discussion will cover the means and the methods of successful conciliation — an issue the U.S. Supreme Court is poised to address — and review the court-imposed limits on the scope of the EEOC’s subpoena/discovery powers as well as the permissible scope of discovery directed to the agency. The panel discussion takes place on Friday, July 24 in Park City, Utah. ALFA International is the premier network of independent law firms. Founded in 1980, ALFA includes 80 member firms in the U.S. and 145 member firms throughout the world.
