Johnson & Bell is pleased to announce that Shareholder, Sammi L. Renken, and Associate, Julie J. Busch, have been selected for leadership positions by the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law. Sammi will serve on the Board of Directors from December 2015 – December 2017. Julie was named the co-chair of the Associates Committee.
Based on a broad jury trial background, Ms. Renken provides solutions and results for her client’s most challenging cases. Her practice has included representation and trials involving medical malpractice, commercial and business disputes, nursing home litigation, drug and medical device lawsuits, Medicare and Medicaid audits, school law, commercial fraud claims, and attorney malpractice litigation.
Ms. Busch concentrates her practice in general negligence, as well as transportation, construction, and retail litigation. Ms. Busch serves a wide spectrum of clients across multiple industries, handling lawsuits involving serious personal injury and death, catastrophic cases, or when significant monetary damages are at stake.

The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law is a non-profit membership association that brings together women’s initiatives in law firms and companies with chapters in Chicago and New York. Its mission is to benefit its member firms and companies by providing positive avenues of communication, collaboration and guidance that help members to 1) enhance the recruitment, retention and promotion of women lawyers and 2) support the building, implementation and continued relevancy of women's initiatives in law firms and companies.
