Mackenzie J. Mahony concentrates his practice in health care law, focusing on medical malpractice and long-term care defense. Mr. Mahony's cases span a wide array of claims brought against hospitals, doctors, and long-term care facilities throughout Illinois. Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Mr. Mahony worked at a prominent plaintiff's personal injury firm in Chicago, prosecuting medical malpractice and long-term care abuse and neglect cases.
Mr. Mahony received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. While earning his degree, Mr. Mahony also received a certificate in trial advocacy and a CALI Award for Excellence. In his last year of law school, Mr. Mahony acquired his Rule 711 license to practice law as a supervised law student. Through his Rule 711 license, Mr. Mahony clerked at the Lake County State's Attorney's Office where he prosecuted numerous traffic, DUI, and misdemeanor cases to verdict.
Mr. Mahony is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
