Dennis C. Cusack is the co-chair of Johnson and Bell's General Negligence group and concentrates his practice on construction liability, product liability and mass tort and class action claims. Mr. Cusack also has experience handling Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) cases, including current representation of a manufacturer of mining equipment in wrongful death cases.
Mr. Cusack has represented insurers in first-party insurance litigation, including bad faith claims and breach of contract, actions for extra-contractual damages and claims for short-term medical coverage. He has also defended third-party insurance claims in a wide variety of scenarios including auto, personal injury, negligence and contracts.
Mr. Cusack has represented paramedics, construction contractors, foreign and domestic product manufacturers, component part manufacturers and distributors. He has won favorable verdicts, dismissals and pretrial settlements for his clients. He also regularly represents his clients at mediation/arbitration.
In recognition of his trial abilities, his peers nominated him for an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbel. He is a member of the ALFA Products Liability Group and has spoken on topics related to his practice including "Legacy Liability", "Company Web Sites: Are We Inviting Product Liability Litigation?" and "Understanding an Unexpected Threat: Recall Compliance and Defending Your Product" Mr. Cusack received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and is past President of the Fenwick Bar Association.
