David Drwencke concentrates his practice on health care law and insurance law. He represents hospitals, universities, physicians, nurses and nursing homes in a variety of medical and related actions in state and federal court. He also handles professional licensing matters before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Mr. Drwencke likes to bring an aggressive, nuanced approach to every file that he works on and enjoys finding creative solutions to resolve matters for his clients.
Mr. Drwencke began his legal career as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Rudy J. Nichols (retired) in the Oakland County Circuit Court (6th Circuit, Michigan) for nearly seven years. Following his time as a judicial clerk, Mr. Drwencke was the Chief Law Clerk and then an Associate Attorney at one of Michigan’s premier plaintiff’s medical malpractice firms before moving to Chicago to work for a nationwide birth-trauma/medical malpractice plaintiff’s firm. Mr. Drwencke then came to the defense side and worked on complex, high exposure, insurance defense matters which has earned him recognition as a “Rising Star” from Super Lawyers Magazine in both 2019 and 2020.
