David A. Warnick concentrates his practice in health care law, focusing on medical malpractice defense, as well as transportation litigation and general negligence cases. Mr. Warnick's cases cover a wide range of claims brought against hospitals and skilled nursing facilities throughout Illinois. In addition, he covers transportation and general negligence litigation for refuse and recycling companies, food companies and over-the-road haulers.
Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Mr. Warnick worked as a plaintiff's attorney. Because Mr. Warnick previously was at a smaller firm, he received an immense amount of experience in a very short period of time, which allows him to adapt well to different aspects of litigation, no matter what stage a case is in.
Mr. Warnick received his J.D. from Capital University Law School. While earning his degree, Mr. Warnick worked as law clerk for a personal injury law firm. In addition, he externed for Judge Norah McCann King at the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He also externed at the Federal Public Defenders office in Ohio working on death penalty appeals.
