Christopher W. Niro represents individuals and entrepreneurs, as well as mid-size companies and multinationals to address their business and intellectual property challenges and grow their portfolios. He has extensive experience with all aspects of intellectual property litigation in both State and Federal trial and appellate courts. He advises his clients with regards to patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Mr. Niro also provides advice and counseling for various businesses regarding brand management and trademark registration.
Christopher has been selected as a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers for the past 3 years in a row as a Top Rated Intellectual Property Attorney in Chicago. Over the past 8 years, Christopher has volunteered his services as part of the Settlement Assistance Program for Pro Se Plaintiffs of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in partnership with the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Mr. Niro earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law along with a certificate in International and Comparative Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2009. He is the Past-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Illinois State Bar Association, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Bar Foundation and is also member of the Council of the ISBA Committee on Legal Technology. Also, Christopher is completing a three year term as a member of the Leadership Advisory Board and Long Range Planning Board to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
During law school, Christopher served as a judicial extern to the Honorable William J. Bauer at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Christopher earned the CALI Excellence For The Future Award in Trial Advocacy. Christopher started his career working as a policy analyst in the Illinois Office of the Comptroller, Daniel W. Hynes and has experience in statewide, and national political campaigns.
