Catherine P. Gorman focuses her practice on asbestos and toxic tort, as well as complex commercial litigation. In asbestos and toxic tort matters, she has extensive experience representing manufacturers, public utilities and other companies throughout Illinois and Northwest Indiana. She also is experienced at conducting and defending depositions, reviewing medical records, drafting settlement agreements, releases and contracts, and presenting legal reports. Prior to joining Johnson & Bell, Ms. Gorman worked as an associate attorney at two other law firms. She also served as a 711 Law Clerk at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in both the Felony Trial Division and the Child Support Enforcement Division. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Charles P. Kocoras.
Ms. Gorman earned her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, where she earned Dean's List honors and received the Public Interest Scholarship, the JMLS Alumni Scholarship, and the Dean's Scholarship. She also holds a master's degree in community counseling from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
