Catherine P. Gorman focuses her practice on premises liability, construction law, product liability and transportation law. Additionally, she has extensive experience in toxic tort matters representing manufacturers, public utilities and other companies throughout Illinois and Northwest Indiana. She has successfully disposed of claims against her clients through motion practice at the pleading stage and through summary judgment.
Ms. Gorman is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her law degree from John Marshall Law School. During law school she served as a 711 Law Clerk at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Felony Trial Division, where she third chaired a jury trial. Ms. Gorman also served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Charles P. Korcoras.
Ms. Gorman earned her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, where she earned Dean's List honors and received the Public Interest Scholarship, the JMLS Alumni Scholarship, and the Dean's Scholarship. She also holds a master's degree in community counseling from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
