Catherine Breitweiser-Hurst concentrates her practice in civil litigation. Catherine is a U.S. Navy veteran, who pursued her education following her enlistment. After receiving her J.D. from Valparaiso University, Catherine spent more than 10 years as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Indiana, where she successfully handled several major felony jury trials. She holds the Lake County Prosecutor’s “Hammerin Hank Award” for the successful prosecution of a Life Without Parole murder trial.
Catherine has been a member of multiple organizations, including Lake County and LaPorte County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Lake County and LaPorte County Veterans Treatment Court, and Lake County Department of Child Services (DCS) Regional Team.
Catherine is a mentor for participants in Lake County Veterans Treatment Court, as well as a member of the Calumet Inns of Court.
