Johnson & Bell Attorney, Julie J. Busch, will be speaking at the 2020 ALFA Regional Transportation Seminar. The seminar will be taking place on February 18-19, in St. Louis, MO. Ms. Busch will be discussing the topic, “On-Board Audio and Video Recording Systems - Gold Mine or Mine Field? Navigating the Logistical and Legal Issues Associated with On-Board Systems.”
Alongside co-presenter Lynsey David, an attorney with the law firm Lewis Wagner in Indianapolis, IN, Ms. Busch will discuss how knowing exactly what information is stored, how it is stored, and how to retrieve and analyze it is critical in determining how it can best serve the carrier and their attorneys in defense of a claim. In addition, Ms. Busch and Ms. David will address potential hazards and pitfalls to avoid in the process of collecting the information stored in on-board recording systems.
Ms. Busch concentrates her practice in general negligence, as well as transportation and retail litigation. She has assisted with all aspects of litigation, mediation, settlement, and jury trials for large, complex disputes in transportation litigation, complex brain injury, and retail litigation. She is a frequent presenter at local and regional conferences. In tandem with other Johnson & Bell attorneys, she has discussed a range of topics, including using the Affordable Care Act to mitigate future medical claims, responding to catastrophic vehicle accidents, and accident reconstruction technologies and their effectiveness at trial.
