Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Nicholas R. Lykins, will be speaking at the ALFA International Hospitality & Retail Chicago Regional Seminar. The seminar will be taking place on Thursday, June 27, at Johnson & Bell’s Chicago office. This seminar will include topics on labor and employment issues affecting the hospitality and retail industry, in-house counsel, coverage, and much more.

Mr. Lykins, along with Jeremy Unruh, Director of Regulatory and Eternal Affairs at PharmaCann, will be speaking about “Cannabis & CBD Oil for Retailers: Growing Opportunities or Problems?” This discussion will touch on the state laws governing cannabis and hemp product sales that are continuing to evolve.  He will also discuss how those changes will impact retail and hospitality operations.

Mr. Lykins handles liability concerns and real estate-related issues, including commercial litigation, premises liability, and lease contract enforcement disputes, for some of the largest shopping mall and retail center property owners in the United States.  He also represents clients ranging from a Fortune Global 500 company to local product manufacturers and premises owners in asbestos and toxic tort litigation. He represents these clients throughout Illinois and in Northwest Indiana.
