Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Robert J. Dignam, a member of the firm’s Employment group, was the featured presenter at the Society for Human Resource Management of Northwest Indiana’s program today. More than 50 human resources professionals and managers attended Bob’s presentation, which covered four areas, including:
- Jurisdiction of the National Labor Relations Board over private sector employers
- The law which applies to an employer’s ability to monitor the social media activities of its employees
- Case examples to help clarify the authority of an employer to police such social media activities
- Tips for complying with this challenging area as it relates to employee handbooks and social media policies.
Mr. Dignam’s practice focuses on employment and labor law matters. He also devotes significant time serving as a civil mediator. He has thirty years of experience counseling and representing private sector and governmental entities in a wide range of legal matters.
