Giving Back Through Community Involvement

Johnson & Bell is committed not only to our clients, but also our communities.  Our community involvement includes providing pro bono legal services, serving on local boards, tutoring local students and participating in community outreach and support efforts in collaboration with local non-profits.

Johnson & Bell participates in Operation Christmas' "Adopt-A-Child" program.  This grass-roots, volunteer organization provides gifts and other necessities to children throughout metropolitan Chicago.  This past holiday season, 44 children from 19 families were adopted by Johnson & Bell.

We field a team for the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services' Race Judicata event, which raises funds to support pro bono representation in metropolitan Chicago.

During the last two years, we have participated in National Giving Tuesday -- specifically for Have Dreams, a resource center serving people with autism, as well as their families.

We also support The Night Ministry, a Chicago-based organization that works to provide housing, health care and human connection to members of our community struggling with poverty or homelessness.

During the past two years, our Associates Committee has raised funds for Mercy Home for Boys & Girls as part of its March for Kids campaign.

Individual attorneys and staff participate in and support other organizations, including Erie House, Cal's Angels, Lazarus House, the Illinois Committee of the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, BEDS Plus Care, CASA of Cook County and many others.
