Johnson & Bell Shareholders, Glenn F. Fencl and Joseph F. Spitzzeri, will be featured speakers at the Strategic Considerations and Practical Solutions for Managing Employment-Related and Professional Liability Claims Seminar, which will be hosted by ALFA International’s Insurance Law, Labor & Employment, and Professional Liability practice groups. This seminar will take place June 8-10, 2016 at The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park in New York City.
Mr. Fencl is Chair of ALFA International’s Insurance Law practice group and will present the topic, “Walking the Line without Stepping Off: Common, Concurrent, Conflicting or Joint Interests? Walking the Line as Coverage Counsel,” alongside three other panelists from across the country. The panel will explore and discuss the different perspectives of insurers, single and multiple insureds, additional insureds, panel and non-panel lawyers representing one or more insureds, and brokers representing any insured, in connection with handling claims and litigation.
Mr. Spitzzeri is a member of the ALFA Labor and Employment practice group steering committee and will present the “ALFA International 2016 Ethics Challenge,” alongside three other panelists from across the country. This multiple-choice, interactive game explores ethical dilemmas facing attorneys in various fields of practice.
Mr. Fencl is co-chair of Johnson & Bell's Insurance group, with a concentration in product liability and insurance coverage. Mr. Fencl has handled numerous declaratory judgment coverage trials in several jurisdictions, is lead trial lawyer for several national manufacturers and has more than 25 jury verdicts.
Mr. Spitzzeri is the co-chair of Johnson & Bell’s Construction, Employment and Private Security groups. He focuses his practice on construction, municipal liability, employment liability, defense issues and Occupational Health & Safety (OSHA) issues. Mr. Spitzzeri also serves as Johnson & Bell's general counsel and secretary.
