We got an early start on "Giving Tuesday" this year.  Just before Thanksgiving, Johnson & Bell delivered 250 bags of hand-made trail mix and 200 bags of hand-baked cookies to The Night Ministry.  In addition, we also sent dozens of disposable diapers for the organization to share with the families it helps.  All of these goods will help The Night Ministry conduct its work in Chicago’s neighborhoods.  The organization offers housing, health care and human connection to members of the Chicago community struggling with poverty or homelessness.  This is the second year that we have partnered with The Night Ministry and more projects are underway.

In addition, on National Giving Tuesday, we supported Have Dreams, a Chicago-area nonprofit serving children, teens and young adults impacted by autism.  Through the donations of our staff and attorneys, along with other supporters of the organization, Have Dreams raised nearly $20,000 on National Giving Tuesday.  Congrats to Have Dreams!

We also participated in Operation Christmas' Adopt a Child program.  This grass-roots, volunteer organization provides gifts and other necessities to children throughout metropolitan Chicago.  This year, 44 children from 19 families were adopted by Johnson & Bell.  We delivered three van loads of gifts for these children and additional toys, books, hats, mittens and socks for the organization to share with the homeless men, women and children it supports.
