Gregory D. Conforti, co-chair of Johnson & Bell’s Transportation group, will be a featured speaker at American Conference Institute’s Fifth Annual National Forum on Defending and Managing Trucking Litigation. The conference will take place in Chicago at Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel on March 24-25, 2015. This will be Greg’s second consecutive year speaking at the National Forum on Defending and Managing Trucking Litigation. His topic, “The Affordable Care Act: Addressing, Defining and Defending Damages,” will delve into the details of the Affordable Care Act, touching on The Collateral Source Rule, mitigation of damages, burden of proof—affirmative defense, expert testimony, billed rates and negotiated rates, and calculating life expectancy. An experienced litigator and frequently requested lecturer, Greg regularly serves as trial counsel for some of the largest trucking and transportation companies in the U.S. and presents at conferences across the country.
